Dakota Meadows Middle School Pool Spanner
How do you reach that spot above the pool? Our design team answers this question often, most recently for a project at Dakota Meadows Middle School in North Mankato, MN. The objective was to give access to the ceiling above the pool for sprinkler and HVAC maintenance. A stable platform of plywood was engineered to accommodate two scissor lifts simultaneously. To hold this weight, a network of system scaffolding and shoring was constructed underneath the plywood. The result was a pool transformed into a "dance floor".
